POSITION: Manager Accounting Operations

DUTIES: The Accounting Manager position has responsibility for the accurate costing and financial control of rebuilt parts being refurbished by the Mechanical backshops. In addition to cost accounting duties the Accounting Manager is responsible for the direct management of the credit sales department which includes agreement accounting clerks.
EDUCATION: Must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience. Prefer MBA, CPA, or CPA candidate. Experience in a successful transition to different accounting software programs (ERPS).
WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have demonstrated prior cost accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Some experience in a leadership/supervisor position. Strong knowledge of MS Access & Excel. Prior satisfactory job performance required.
PREFFERED WORK EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated previous leadership/supervisory experience (preferably with union employees). 7 year prior cost accounting experience preferably in a railroad environment.
COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must possess good written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with good listening and speaking skills and strong respect for others. Excellent coaching/motivational ability.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 8 (TCU) agreement accounting clerks.
TRAVEL: 10%
