SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Serve as first point of contact for employees, managers and retirees on all standard Human Resources (HR) related questions and issues by researching and resolving simple to complex policy and transactional questions related to HR policies, programs and practices.
Use procedures, policy manuals, knowledgebase and other reference materials to assist in answering employee/manager inquiries and resolving employee/manager issues. Document all employee inquiries and issues in a case management application. Escalate employee inquiries when specific, in-depth functional knowledge is required. Recognize unusual events or consistent problem areas and work with Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) team lead to resolve.

EDUCATION: Associates Degree in a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration) or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

WORK EXPERIENCE: Some experience as a customer service specialist in a service center or human resources environment. Knowledge and understanding of HR processes. Demonstrated effectiveness when dealing with dissatisfied customers. Excellent customer service focus and strong interpersonal skills required.

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience with SAP HR systems.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent verbal and data entry skills and attention to detail.

COMMENTS: Position is in Human Resources Shared Service Center located at 405 King Street, Wilmington, DE. Relocation benefits are available for current (as of 02/08/2010) Human Resources employees ONLY.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
