DUTIES: Inspect, service and repair locomotive coach electrical systems to include generators, motors and high voltage control circuits. Other duties as assigned. Must comply with blue flag regulations. Responsible for cab signal testing and repair, this position comes under F.R.A. Hours of Service Law, which includes random drug testing. Must follow all Mechanical Department Safety Rules and Blue Flag Policies. All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer electrical school training.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have three years mechanical experience per Personnel Department procedures.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be familiar with terminology, tools, materials, and equipment involved in an electricians duties.
COMMUNICATION AND
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must possess good written and strong verbal communication skills.
TRAVEL: No travel.
