DUTIES: The Senior Employee Development Officer, Engineer Training is responsible for planning, monitoring and delivery of training programs that will enhance and improve employee skills. Provides training, guidance and oversight to field locations in order to maintain accurate tracking of employees qualifications thru the SAP system and assure the training program and recommends and implements changes based on feedback from contractors, employees, other instructors and participants. Schedules, manages and delivers training. This position participates in development and implementation of training programs for Engineering. The position works with Engineering staff as regulatory and mandated requirements of the corporation of state and federal laws. Provides administration of classroom training and off-site contractor safety training. Must provide leadership in preparation of instructors training skills. Responsible for the efficient management of records and enrollment process of training. The Senior Employee Development Officer will direct, manage, coach, evaluate and develop employees as assigned. The position will be responsible to provide necessary analytical data and to perform duties as assigned to meet the Employee Development training goals.
EDUCATION: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have experience in Maintenance of Way procedures and policies. Must have demonstrated experience in Roadway Worker Protection and AMT-2 requirements. Prefer knowledge of business operations and financial systems related to the operations, plans and budgets of an organization. Prefer some teaching experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience in job related field, organizational, administrative, planning skills, effective writing, communication and platform training skills. Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) sufficient to prepare presentations. Prior satisfactory job performance required. Must have satisfactory work record in areas of safety, attendance and work rules. This position is responsible to accomplish assigned duties as well as the achievement of strategic goals within a functional area.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required for this position.
