Summary of Duties:
Incumbent has financial oversight of Amtrak inventory control locations, including maintenance of inventory perpetual records for Hialeah, Sanford and New Orleans locations. Position responsible for oversight of all material planning activities, including the development and implementation of replenishment policies. Approves all requisition activity to support operating needs while minimizing costs and stock-out risks. Performs routine site inspections to ensure compliance in all areas of material handling, including safety, storage and security. Provides technical material control support for familiar purchases from initial stages of requisition to delivery. Technical support will also be required for determining adequate spare inventory levels for new equipment. Supports the warranty administration function and maintains all inventory records. Interacts with outside parties; e.g. FRA, FDA, and original equipment manufactures regarding inventory control/handling issues.

Education (must have):
Bachelors degree in Business or related area or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Work Experience (must have):
Proven demonstrated experience in materials management, warehouse inventory control, planning and distribution environment. Prior supervisory experience.

Work Experience (preferred):
Proven extensive experience in forecasting, logistics, scheduling production control in a heavy repair & turn around railroad maintenance facility.

Other Requirements:
Proven working knowledge of Amtraks AAMPS and ASAP systems and managerial experience. Strong working knowledge of Corporate policies & procedures including safety, materials management and DOT (CFR49) requirements.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Strong oral & written skills. Prior satisfactory job performance is required.
