DUTIES: Supervise repairs of track defects, installation of rail ties, inspection of switches. Instruct gangs on daily tasks, conducts job briefings. Supervise loading and unloading of materials. Reports pertinent data, both verbal and written, regarding employees and work progress/problems to immediate supervisor. Leads employees within guidelines of System Safety Program. Continually observes, corrects and trains employees in all safety requirements and work operations. Maintains and is accountable for Maximo time approvals and various reports.
EDUCATION: Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have experience with AMT-2, NORAC, RWP, M/W 1000, FRA Safety Standards, Special Instructions and Corporate Policies and Procedures.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid drivers license.
COMMUNICATION AND
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent oral and written communications skills, both oral and verbal.
SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES: Will be responsible for 40 people direct and/or indirect.
TRAVEL: 20%
