SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
To perform the duties of a Pipefitter in accordance with the applicable rules of the SMWIA agreement. This position will provide coverage for the turnaround servicing and scheduled maintenance. This position will also be responsible for plant maintenance when required. This position will need to be versed in Locomotives and Passenger Car equipment and other duties as may be assigned in accordance with applicable work rules and agreements.
EDUCATION: Must have high school diploma or Equivalent
EDUCATION: Preferred Technical Training.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have some Pipefitter or welding experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferred railroad experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have prior satisfactory job performance. Must also be able to follow instruction from supervision and be able to perform with a minimum amount of supervision. Willing to work varied hours, weekends and holidays.
COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must be able to read, speak and understand English language. Must have good oral and written communication skills.
