SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for supervising moderate to complex level assignments and for performing all types of own assignments involving financial and performance audits and special projects. Must manage audit resources and staff assigned to audits and actively participate to support the efforts of superiors in employee development, training, audit planning and strategy as required. The incumbent will assist the Senior Director in developing annual audit plans, articulating audit strategies and vision, successfully completing annual audit plans, and developing audit tools and innovative solutions. The incumbent will effectively interact with all levels of corporate and field management, and will assume leadership roles in acting as a role model for staff auditors under his/her direction. The incumbent must possess good computer skills and project management skills and will incorporate effective use of quantitative/qualitative analysis and ACL, TeamMate and other internal/external systems in all types of own assignments. He/or she will work with the Senior Director in managing audit and other matters related to audit assignments and special projects and will demonstrate high level expertise in the knowledge and application of GAGAS and GAAP.

EDUCATION: Must have a 4-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university in a business related curriculum such as Accounting, Finance, Business Management or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Prefer a master's degree in a business related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated experience with progressively increasing audit responsibilities including supervision of personnel and resources. Must have high level expertise in auditing standards and GAAP.

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE: Prefer some experience in an OIG or similar internal audit environment with a thorough understanding of GAAP, GAGAS, and FAR. Prefer four years experience in contract audits.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE. Must have high level expertise in supervisory work related to data analysis and computer based tools, such as ACL, TeamMate, Word, Excel, and similar applications.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of corporate management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May supervise up to 2 professional staff members to ensure that performance meets department standards.

TRAVEL: 20%
