INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL APPLICANTS
DUTIES: The position of Supervisor of Track will manage labor tools and material and oversee a work force assigned. Will be responsible to carry out assignments in track construction and maintenance with compliance to the MW1000 and FRA standards. Follow all safety rules and regulations as outlined in company policies. Will enter timekeeping records into the Maximo System and handle other paperwork as required. Must be able to respond to emergencies when needed and restore service as quickly as possible. Must ensure workers are in compliance with safety practices, performance quality and adherence to inspection requirements.
EDUCATON: High School Diploma or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Must be qualified in AMT-2, NORAC, RWP, M/W 1000, FRA Safety Standards, Special Instructions and Corporate Policies and Procedures. Must have passing grade on ARASA test. Prefer supervisory experience in railroad track maintenance in track class 4 or higher. Prior satisfactory job performance is required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have valid drivers license.
COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must be able to speak, read and write English language and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly responsible for approximately 20 employees.
TRAVEL: 40%
COMMENTS: Must comply with FRA Safety Standards and Amtrak Engineering Practice Standards, special instructions and Corporate Policies and Procedures. Must be familiar with all applicable safety rules. DW Gang 110 Territory: NY, PHL, BAL (MP W11.0 to E18, SSYD & WSC)
